No issues with fitment and they sit flush when locked.

one car at a time
^ Those look nice..

I still cannot undertsand how the factory pieces break....And won't the carbon fiber door pins be even more likely to break ???

The CF ones are built pretty solid. The OEM plastic ones seem to get brittle over time and people tend to aggressively pull or accidentally hit the mushroom tops since they don't sit flush.

I wish I had an answer for you...

Found the drivers door pin broken off (mushroom style) right where the threaded shaft from the door ends. My best guess is maybe I broke it off when using a drive-up ATM machine since I always have to struggle to reach the machine. ( I never want to pull too close and curb the wheels!)

In any case, I found the broken part on the rear floormat and was able to JB-Weld it back on as a temporary fix, but I'd prefer a door pin that sits flush when it's locked so that it's impossible to snag it in the first place.

Anyone from this thread have an update on the door pins you bought and whether you like what you actually received? I'm trying to avoid wasting time with the el-cheapo eBay chrome ones, but if you were able to find a good quality aluminum or brushed stainless I'd appreciate a link.

I bought a cheapo set on ebay as well for $30 and they were junk.. These ones above I installed a few weeks ago and are very quality pins.. The fronts sit flush when locked too

Good call Andrew!

Installed the new ones this AM, and they sit "Hella Flush"!! (At least on the front doors where it matters most)

I definitely won't be having any more issues with breakage and the quality of the new pins is really quite nice. It's doubtful that I will update my mod list to include something as mundane as door pins, but it does replace a really cheap out-of-place part with something a lot nicer looking.
