Looking to powdercoat my surge tanks.. heat dissipation a factor?
we all know too much heat under the hood is a problem, so would powdercoated or painted surge tanks pose a threat not dissipating heat as well as bare aluminum?

any other thoughts?

A lot of us (including me) have them powder coated with no problems... Youll be fine.

im thinking of painting the engine cover's gloss black and flat black powdercoating the surge tanks. this means i will need some new clamps for the aircleaner box boots, know where i can get some? can i just use large screw style hose clamps?
