It's about 1 mile from my house and I call it my private drag strip, especailly after dark.

During Thanksgiving with the father in law in town I let him drive the beast on this road, ***** out, and he loved it! So the E55 can make your in laws like you more I also asked his permission before asking his daughter to marry me which helped.

PM the location if you want because I want to test my car out also

You might want consider investing in a camera mount next time. A bit safer with two hands, don't you think?

Below is a pick of one of my front brakes after the run. I do believe I was braking pretty hard! The breaks feel fine, the pads are new and the rotors aren't grooved/warped, just discolored (obviously) so do I have anything to wory about here?

My guess is it's just a bi-product of the intense heat when I was scrubbing off 160 MPH to 0 MPH in .3 of a mile. Physics at work! (Kinetic engergy being transformed to heat.)

I wished that you able to take video of the glowing hot brakes after the run.
I have never ever braked that hard, hell I've never seen 156 MPH. 130 yeah, but not 156 mph.

Yeah afterwards I thought my brakes were on fire the buring smell was intense! I actually drove around slowly for about 10 minutes letting them cool off and they seem 100% fine now, but obviously significantly discolored. If this isn't proof that Red Stuff brakepads don't work...well...show me something better.

Basically the car went way faster/quicker than I thought it would (this is the first run, "***** Out," run I did with my LTH & Stage 3 Jerry tune) so I was sort of panic braking at the end. Hey but it worked out OK! (luckily.)

I always like to know that I can get out of trouble faster than I got into it.

Agreed! Behold the power of the E55 brakes with aftermarket pads and fluid. (I put in Motobul for brake fluid.)

When I get my rail, injectors and TB I'll do another run OK guys? I'll probablly put on new pads and rotors and get a camera mounted system as well. D

Heck maybe a few gallons of 109?

My god I love my E55!

Here's how it went watching the vid from here.

"Come on, no rap or house music, come onnnnnn.....YES!!!!"

Every friggin vid lately is someone cranking house/rap music while punching it.

A blown 5.5 hammering is my Tupac!

Awesome run !! Felt like I was 'almost there' !

mini hijack - several years ago I bought (from some place in Texas) larger pulleys for my E55 and SL55. Great additional power BUT, just one run on a hot day can shut the Kompressor off. I know I need to pump more through the 'intercooler' (sp), can anyone enlighten me where to order the pump and if it's a DIY thing?

Once that's done - I guess I should get a tune ??

TIA

Totally. I purposely didn't put any music (although I talked a bit much, sorry about that), so you could just hear the beast all out!

Thanks again for watching.

Yeah this was the very first mod I did as my S/C would cut out after a few runs. I got the Johnson Intercooler pump (just Google it) for $143 and a local shop put it in for $50. No tune/retune is necessary and it fixes this problem forever.

It should be every E55's first mod IMHO.

Thanks.

Thanks again glad you enjoyed the video and now you know my license plate (Look to the left of your screen) ain't lying. When I get my S65 and tune it, I think GONEIN3 might be next!
