Strongly Considering A CL65

Whats up guys! Been a while. What do you guys think of this car on autotrader? It's a VRP850 Package with 55k on it. Anyone know of this package as I have never heard of it. Thanks for the input guys. Here is the link:

I'm curious to know how buying a replacement $40,000 car is an easier financial burden than fixing the damage on your current E55....???

I'm thinking about getting a loan and putting the money I got for my E55 as a down payment for the loan. Build my credit.

Looks clean. Take it to the dealer and get a PPI.

Wow you just dont learn your lesson do you.

You are in college right? I think a coil pack for one side for that car is over $1200 no labor, The ABC forget about it, since you have diagnois the entire system whenever there is an issue.

The Rotors which are probably due very soon is $1400 a pop each side. Not to mention 2005 wasnt the most reliable year for Mercedes Benz. Ahh each oil change is at least 12 Quarts maybe 14 at Synthetic. Just oil filter if you do it yourself is $90! On a good deal

Nothing like throwing good money at bad! So i would advise not going into loan debt over a car like that cause if something does happen this time you have a loan and a Pahts Cah! Not to mention the market for 90K mile 65 Series AMGs is VERY VERY SOFT!

Keep your E55 graduate then by whatever you want, or just buy it. Dont post on here complaining how expensive it is when stuff breaks. thats a $180K car new. The maintance cost = the price tag new.

Thanks for the useful comment bro. That's exactly what I'm gonna do right when I get it. I should look for brakes, ABC, and what else?

I am a car *****, and had a similar issue to yours with my stroked TBSS. It spun a rod at 14,000 miles i was fresh out of college too! Thats when i decided to stroke it.

The CL65 is not your answer. I have personally looked and the SL65 if you wanna buy an AMG 65series car is the way to go. The SL class holds its value extremely well

The number one thing you better do is find someone that can work on it cheap. I told you before I work on several in my area and I make good money on the up keep on those and they save a mint by coming to me I charge 1/2 what the dealer does on most jobs we wont even go into parts. Good luck but seriously get a repair guy first unless you do all your own work.

Does anyone know of an aftermarket warranty for the CL65 that covers ABC, brakes and other important services? I will not buy a CL65 without a warranty.

At this age man I would not be taking out loans that big just for one of these cars. My guess is your around 21 or 22 going on the fact your still in school. I would say wait a few years till you get your feet under you then maybe take out a loan for one of these. Its not fun going into debt especially this young trust me.

Wow that is devasating! Hopefully TMC M5 can chime in on the CL65 situation. Thanks for the input man! I got a chance to drive a cl65 back in the day and all I gotta say is that it is FAST! That's why I love this car so much.

I just want to get in something really luxurious and fast. Cl65 is the answer but there seems to be a lot of complications with service.

I think I should save my money I guess till the right CL65 pops up. I will always be an AMG'er so beemers are out of the question. What do you guys think I should buy or not buy?

S65 FTW. That thing is like the Starship Enterprise for the road. If I were not going to pickup a dually soon, an S65 would be in my crosshairs.
