There are alot of guys coming down from NY/NJ area. Any of you all want to caravan down and stay at the same place? I think that would be really cool and make the drive down better

For some stupid reason i want to go 10's at full weight then shed some pounds. Last time at the track i was 4505lbs with 2 gallons of water and a 16lb bag of ice and the gas gauge didnt even come up 1 line. Kinda wish i didnt have a pano roof now. Guess we'll see what happens. Anyone gone in the 10's on a 175 pulley yet???

Yeah, I was asking Ahmad, who in the hell does your car weigh so much. When I ran my best time, I had both front seats pulled, catback pulled, rear seats pulled, and race battery. My wheels setup was skinnys upfront, and the clk320 light weight allows outback. My weight came in 3860 with under a 1/4 tank of race gas, then my weight of 185lbs at the time, put me at 4045:

I have my stock seats at the house, and I will weigh both of them for you guys tonight. That will give you a gauge to see how much quicker you will run with them removed.

I was surprised it weighed that much myself that I even took a pic and video. I'm 230lbs so even taking the seats out, light battery, no exhaust, light weight tires and rims I'm still going to be 42XXlbs. Time will tell I guess.

Leaving from NY but time depends on Friday dyno day schedule. Is it worth staying closer to DC or just stay in nowheres land to be closer to the track in the am???

Stay closer to the track. You can find a few nice motels in la plata and your 20 min from the track

We stayed in Camp Springs last time. It's about 45-50 min from the track, which split up the trip down nicely.
Link below. Ironically, the top two places are located on Mercedes Blvd., and both have decent reviews.

That sounds right. For comparison, at MIR I checked in at 4100-4200lbs.

What do you think you weighed on the record passes? We should have mine put back together today/tomorrow then finish up a few odd's and end's then time for tuning.

EDIT: If you are staying at a hotel/motel local to MIR mention MIR to get a discount. How much I don't know but here is the link to the ones that participate...

No problem. I'm trying to see who is coming when and coordinate something but seems like everyone is coming at different times or doesn't know when they are coming

If I were you I would go straight to dyno day then a hotel closer to the track. Dealing with rush hour in DC area sucksssss and MIR isn't that close. It's pretty much in the middle of nowhere. I think if you mention MIR at the hotels close to them they may give you a discount but don't quote me on that. I will double check and get back to you guys.

Thanks Craig....as is yours! !!

I weighed it right after the record run with Ahmad's front runners still mounted and even took a pic too. This was at the end of the day, lightest possible weight, gas tank on empty.
Tell you what, you reply to my request in your "records" thread and I will post the pic, fair enough?

I ran a 7.07, 7.09, 7.10 at Sumerduck drag way this fall and actually won the test and tune gamblers race that night running a 7.14 on a 7.13 dial. 7.0x 1/8th is right there at a 10.9x pass. On those runs I cut consistent 1.60-1.61 60ft's. When we tore the motor down to figure out where the power went we found a few problems but it will be back together for the next track day (we hope). I tore the engine mounts causing the manifolds to crack, head gaskets were blown and had a few vacuum leaks also and the worse was a broken converter that was killing power.
