Cracked exhaust manifold need help?

Hello I'm a newbie to the site although I visit it often. My first post so bare with me. I have an 05 211 with a Brabus k8. I cracked my exhaust manifold and need a new power steering pump. Any advise of where to go and who can help in the Bay Area. I have met Shardul and value your opion. I also met Asp but lost your number. I need help, Thanks in advance to all who no more about this than me.

I'm guessing its a tubular steel header you have. Can you tell where it cracked? You may be able to just have it welded up while still on the car depending on where it cracked. If its easily accessible any reputable exhaust shop could do the repair for peanuts. Stay away from the shady looking shops though. If you can't get to the crack the header has to come out and you want to find a reputable performance shop to deal with it at that point.

carpart.com has a rebuilt pump for $388.04 (have someone confirm this is correct for the AMG though. Should be, but higher end performance cars can get a lil dicey with parts like these being the correct one when being listed on a parts store computer)
http://www.carpart.com/ShopByVehicle...20Pump&mode=PA

RockAuto.com has a rebuilt A1 Cardone brand steering pump for $210.79 + $50 core charge. Again, make sure its the right one for an E55 as with performance cars steering pumps can differ slightly over base models.

Thanks, but this is what I'm wondering. Since I have to change one should I just go to aftermarket. Checking all options for the price and power.

Buy PLM or Kleemann Shorties and move on. if you have to do the labour to Re & Re, might as well get some benefit out of it.

I'm in the same situation as you but my Evosport header cracked at the collector on the right side. I'm have some custom Shareader LT's made and then my Evosport will be sent back to them for repairs.

My car sounds like an AMG NASCAR at the moment LOL
