So in a certain thread there was speculation over what kleemann considers k1 and k2... I thought I post this as certain people needed to be educated about Kleemann.
So I decided to email who else Cory over at Kleemann USA... Fantastic guy btw always quick to help no matter what the questions maybe...

Hey Cory!
Hope all is going well for 12'
Just wanted to say the headers are beautiful! Yet to install them though lol...
Question, when is a car considered a k2, k3 etc?
For k2 I have pulley and headers but no kleemann tune. Is it still considered a k2? Or would that be a k1?

Hey Tony-
Pulley/headers would be K2- doesn't really "matter" who's tune you have- the stage is more indicative of the 'hard' parts that are installed. *
Thanks!!

Wow tbal your really losing sleep over this lol
you have a stage 2 car and for the record when I told you you didnt have a K car I only thought you had a 168 pulley an EC tune.
tune stage .5
pulley/tune stage 1
pulley tune headers stage 2
pulley tune headers TB stage 3
and soo on,you seem to think I care about your stage x when Im trying to tell you you have a stage X tuners car
if you blow up your engine tom will you say kleemann blew up my engine?
and dont you have a custom tuned file anyways? send your ecu to kleemann and join the 600rwt guys with the headers you just got a run a true K car.

So if I add my new Kleeman cams on top of my Stage 4+ Car does it mean I am now a K5+. If I add Kleemann badges front and rear does that make me K6 and K7 respectively per badge? If I tatoo Kleemann on my forehead is that K8?
Also...who cares...

I bought a car with 24k miles on it thought it wasn't modded as per dealer claimed, I didn't know it had a pulley. Oh no!!! Haha
1. Car won't blow up
2. Idk genius who do you think would be responsible if the car blew
Up? Neither! THE OWNER! For most part. Of course the tuner is accountable in some cases...

Not sure, but they should certainly take some responsibility should this happen.. But then that brings up the point of did the car have supporting mods (fuel rail and injectors)???

Never ever heard of anything like this. If something goes wrong its basically a good will measure on the tuners part if they do anything at all for you. If there is something obviously wrong with the tune I'm sure they'd fix it. If you pop a motor your gonna be chasing your tail trying to get a tuner to pay for it usually. Any big name tuner won't pop motors or will tell you your fuel system isn't able to keep up or whatever the problem may be, and anyone not big name tuners can't afford to make those kinds of repairs and will make excuses.

Yes
According to Cory regardless of tune
K1 = pulley
K2 = pulley headers
Rest goto kleemann website
Badges, filters $25 glued on pullies don't change anything
