came to an agreement, just need to find time in the next few weeks to fly to Seattle to get it and drive home
VIN# WDBUF76J15A638184 if you want to check specs... it's pretty much loaded.

The tire size thing is answered here about a bajillion times. I have even posted pics of my bone stock E55 with the 275 PSS out back...
The only thing worse than a "tire kicker" is a new E55 owner who wants to be spoon-fed answers to every question. It is virtually impossible that you will think of a question that isn't already answered here.....
Improve your search-fu and at least try to demonstrate that you read the archives before asking where the oil dipstick is located.

Tbal, I don't get the thread hijack to attack aknight55... It makes for a less pleasant read for those just surfing around enjoying the teasing of toadster, an easy to mock new member. Your attacks are kinda misdirected, IMHO, and appear to be based on an old beef. Just sayin'!

Congrats Toadstool..... But seriously, you'd better start learning how to search this site or you are going to be brutalized forever.

Sure - I may be jumping into the Lion's den by buying my first Merc as an AMG - but oh well, I couldn't have this interaction without this forum - so thanks for playing

I'm not exactly an "old timer" around here.... I joined in March 2011, and studied hard for the first 2 - 3 weeks on this site (posting infrequently, but searching constantly)...
It very short order I knew all the "weak" areas of the car, differences between '03 - '06 cars... costs to fix things, how to get a free EPC-Net account to run my own VIN and options searches, as well as a boatload of other factoids.
The site is a resource. 99.9% of all the questions have already been answered.... if you prefer posting over searching, that's your perogative.
Soon nobody is going to bother even reading your stuff.... or worse yet, they'll just start giving you bad information knowing that you never searched and won't know the difference. Good luck once that starts happening.....

Michelin PSS (275s) on an 9x18" stock rear wheel....
Comparison of a stock Conti (265) to the new 275 PSS...
I will remount these tires on a CLS wheel (9.5x18") in the Spring and take some new pics.
285s and 295s only seem to look right on 19" and larger wheels. On the stock 18" they seem too "balloon-y" at the sidewall, or overly tall compared to the fronts.

you can visibly see the Michelin is wider, which also equates to them being heavier by a pound (according to specs)

yah, the mazda has been really good for 8.5 years to be honest... I think I may have spent maybe $5k in service the whole time, including 3 sets of tires

Yeah. MBs really do suck. I don't know why I bother with them. I'm going to head to Seattle and buy a silver E55 next week. I heard it already got a PPI done and only has minor issues. I'll let you know how that goes.
