Looking to purchase
I'm sure this has been asked but I hope someone can help...
Looking to buy asap, a 2004 E55 27,000 miles. The car has been serviced, alternator and battery replaced on top of the normal services and fluid changes.... Should I be worried about anything such as common problems with this year of car or issues with a E55 barley being drove over the span of its life. There are no check engine lights the owner says but its out of state so I'm taking his word for it... Thanks for the help. Hopefully it all works out and i can chat with you guys/girls again. Thanks

i did the carfax and autocheck and it all checked out fine... no problems... I really am not sure of the options... Ill ask tomorrow. What options were available on that car?

air suspension, amg sport package, heated seats, dynamic front seats, xenons, h/k, TMPS, paddle shifters.... I figured all that came standard but who knows... $30,000 is asking

2005 E55 AMG
All E55s will have the airmatic suspension and AMG appearance package. That also includes paddle shifters and heated seats. Sunroof is standard as well.
Some of the options are:
Panoramic Sunroof
Keyless Go
Parktronic
Distronic
Heated and Cooled Seats
Active Dynamic Seats
Navigation
Phone
Satellite Radio
Rear Sunscreen
Pull up rear door sunscreens
TPMS
If the car has none of these extra options, the price seems a bit high. If the car is absolutely mint condition, I'd say it's not a horrid price. The options and maintenance/condition will be the main factors on the worthiness of the price. Do you have a link to the car? Should be able to tell what options it has just from pics.

Get a PPI, try and get all the maintenance records pulled on the vehicle. With that in hand, and talking to the owner, you should be able to make an educated descision on the car.

Dude, people has to do more Search and reading. Before i bought my car i was on it for few months. You can't just come here ask very stupid basic question about this car anymore. I can assure you if you do your home work you will know your car. Let me ask, which E55 doesn't come with AMG sport pkg appearance ??? its so freaking obvious the person don't even know about what he is buying. Read and Search more.

ohhh Boy here we go again with the arguing.
On a side note good luck with the purchase of the ca,r price is dead on and miles great. I got my 04 with 36k miles on it for about a 1,000 less then your prices. So im sure he won't go to much lower on the price as long as everything checks out. Oh and fyi carfax & auto check won't tell you much if the car wasn't reported to them as far as accidents or other problems to the vehicle. I would take it to a shop and have them do a full inspection and check body lines to see if there are even,paint for rough spots & blemishes. Make sure the car is washed when u inspect the body and paint cause a dirty car covers up alot of paint flaws or bad body work.

How is a guy with only 4 posts allowed to start his own threads?
Rules should be changed to where new members have to make minimum 150 posts before starting any thread. Sort of a probation/break in period if you will. That whay you wont have posters with a 4post count calling other members crybaby..............Waah! Waah!

Rchase, definitely get the PPI -- if you don't have anyone in the area the best bet is a Benz dealership, that way they can tell you what options are really on the car and if (big if) they all work the way they are supposed to...

The way this clown talks you'd think his name was etched on the engine, when in reality he probably sits in a quality control assembly line stamping his initials on snuggies and shipping them over to wal-mart. Further more within one question and about 10 minutes i had all the answers I needed from people not as arrogant as yourself, so i guess my home work panned out for me. Ordered the car so ill post some pics next week when it gets here. Cant wait thanks for the help minus this cry baby.

Hell ya my comment about emoving having a mangina is quickly being quoted left and right... My plan exactly :-) anyway, ya I actually did wake up and decide I wanted a e55 so good call on that! Also, its kind of funny how you d bags lay all the forum rules down when in reality your attitudes are exactly what forums hate, I don't mind I love clownin' on insecure tools like yourself, but I usually am the nice guy helping people out not starting these arguments like you did. Im sure nobody likes you anyway and you've probably rounded up all your buddies you can to try and hate on me but in the end you look like the fool. Sorry I didn't weed through 40,000 posts but I did try and search and came up with nothing so better then the 150 post rule just a better search engine on these forums would be the answer. Thank god moosejaw isn't a politician writing up silly laws such as the 150 post one lol. Hopping on a plane to Sun Valley to ski for the weekend so probably won't look at your posts for a few hours ;-) you will have plenty of time to try and troll up this forum. Thanks to the others for the real answers and help.
