Brake noise

We just got a case of some new aerosol that works great for brake noise from Wurth. Wurth is a German automotive hardware and chemical company that is know for high end automotive shop supplies and specializes in European cars.

"The SBS Brake treatment is a revolutionary spray-on metalizing treatment designed to prevent brake noise at the source. When applied as directed, microfine aluminum products form a molecular bond with the rotor/drum friction surfaces. This composite surface finish ends annoying vibrations and brake squeal at the source, giving the assurance of a quality brake job." As quoted from there catalog.

Treats pads and rotors-
-Spray a light mist of SBS Brake Treatment directly to the rotors/drums and pads/shoes
-Effective on all brake systems
-No drying time required
-Benefits last up to 1 year or 10,000 miles
-Prevents rust and seizure of lugs
-Extends brake life
-Effectiveness tested from -100 degrees to 1800 degrees

PRICE-$21.00 and includes shipping

We've been using it for about 2 months now and it has worked out really well. We always use Wurth chemicals with great success but this is something new that has been made to combat brake squealing problems that have become very common in German cars.

I'm so glad that I can come to a low speed stop now in New York City without being embarrassed by some noisy brakes.

It does not get washed away by rain, pressure washer I do not know but I would not think so since it forms a bond.

I'm wondering if anyone has had a chance to use this product and give the forum some feedback.

It seemed to have done the trick on my car. It's nice to finally be able to pull up somewhere without every head looking at me because of my brake noise.

Sometimes. The noise comes and goes really. It's most city driving and it always seems to happen at the most inopportune times. For me, I will be in the city pulling up somewhere that's packed, go to hit the brakes and the screech is terrible. Everyone is looking at you thinking that you should change your brakes but, in the meantime, they have no idea that the rotors and pads are 2 weeks old.

We have tried a lot of different high temp anti-seize lubricants on the backs of the pads but we have not found any that work. This spray is a different theory on brake noise problems and we decided to try it and it seems to do the trick. My friend is a Wurth dealer in California and I asked him about it and he said the Mercedes dealer on his route is the only guy that buys them from him but he said they buy 100's of cans at a time so it must be working for them too.

If you ever get any brake noise issues in the future, you have an idea on how to fix it now.

Do you have to remove brake pads to spray them?

I would be willing to send them to you, I would have to add some shipping to the UK. I would say $20.00 in shipping should cover it. If you want to send me a PM I can get that taken care of for you.

The spray gets sprayed on the front and rear surface of the rotor and the front of the pad that touches the rotor.
