um my .02 cents, this is one of the MANY reasons I got rid of my 04!!I owned it for 5 yrs and bought it with 32k mi, sold it with 74k mi!! my car for a short period of time WAS out of warranty and MAN THAT WAS EXPENSIVE!! So I went ahead and bought an extended thru my dealer (western General)$4500 for 3yrs or 75k mi.
My car STILL averaged 7-8 trips a year for repairs and warranty work!thats 21-24 trips over a 3 yr period! UNACCEPTABLE!
Found out that Western General no longer writes policies for AMG cars. And the dealers around me only deal with MB warrantys they no longer accept outside policies.

so in other words owning an AMG out of warranty is "financial suicide" lol

sorry had to vent lmao!

Sorry to hear you didn't have a good expirence. To most, including myself if you own an amg your car is your hobby. I have never had that bad of luck with amg's. To me the extra money it requires is nothing compared to joy of driving. Every car maker has it's lemons, even amg. Hell even ferrari, ask some 355 owners.
