Finally some pics of my E55
Hey, was finally able to upload some pics. I got it tinted 19% all around and 28% darkness on the windshield. Some b4 and after pics......

Side after tint. The tint is Quantum. It is supposed to bring out the color of the window. This was a day after it was put on so the color is not completely set due to drying. Now it's much more solid in color

Thanks for the replies guys.....
The tint is actually not bad at all during the night. I was afraid with the stock blue tint that 19% (percentage of light emitted through the tint) would be bad, but for some reason the tint seems much lighter looking out of. The windshield is 28%, and it just looks dark due to the steep slope of the window. I've looked through many types of tint including Titanium, Charcoal, and Bronze, all at varying percentages, and Quantum is by far the easiest to look out of. It looks from the inside like 35% to 45%, but stays really cool.
I'm gonna take some pictures from inside the car looking out (although prolly the camera will mess up the shading)
If you want to check out the different types of tint, look at

Also, i found a link on the website that will answer some people's legal questions....

The car is bought, althought perhaps in like 5 or 6 years, a SL55 (or maybe 65 if it's out )
The few modifications that will be done soon will be blue Illuminated AMG door sills and an Alpine Fold out Monitor with navigation (will post a pick of what I want to do). After seeing the technical website on how to remove the paneling, I'll probably experiment and purchase a new ash tray cover to cut into. this will also give me the option to attach any external inputs such as extra screens, dvd players, and video game units.
I'll probably get a portable one if this doesn't work cause i havent seen any mounted screens that i like. This will also prevent any problems with warranty if the audio goes bad (possible warranty issues if retrofitted new COMAND into unit without going through the dealer).
I was planning on waiting for the DVD nav to come out, but this summer was looking too nice to pass up my spot in line!

you forgot to scrub out the jeeps license plate
Nice pics of your car..... since you scrubbed out the license plate on the benz you should do the same for the jeep pictured with it.
I can't wait to get mine. Silver....mmmmm Only problem is that I am number 10 on the list and my worthless dealer cant tell me how many per month he is going to get. My guess is that next late spring early summer.............bummer.

jlbmerc,
i was gonna order them thru the dealer, although they are yet to give me a price quote, and i've been to busy to go in. i'm thinking that it's only for the front door sills.
if i can't make it in the dealer, i was thinking of ordering from someone in the AMB owners club. here's an example link -
