Looking at a E55 this weekend, looking for advice
Hey guys I'm new to the forum and am looking to pick up a E55 very soon. I've looked around a little bit on Autotrader/classified section but couldn't seriously start searching until my truck sold (2 weeks ago). So I've only been looking for 2-3 weeks now and I'm supposed to go look at a car this weekend. Link:

For options it has distronic, nav, Bi-Xenon Headlights, tire pressure monitoring, sunshades and that's about it. Only aftermarket mods are Eurocharged throttle body/intake, intercooler pump and a tune.
I've talked to the owner several times and he is obviously very meticulous the car looks to be in excellent shape. My only reservations are that I really wanted Gray and was looking for a car with pano/active seats. I'm kind of worried that I'm rushing just because I'm anxious to get into one of these cars. I did that with my first Supra and ended up regretting it (sold it for a loss after 5 months).
Just trying to get your thoughts, is this a good deal?...did anyone else settle when they bought their car? (i.e. picked up a certain color and regretted it later).
Appreciate any feedback...

So what wrong with this car? It has 16k miles..WTH! Take it for a spin and then decide.. I'm sure you'll enjoy more than your supra (I used to have a supra also). Never regret with AMG at all!!

Honestly, I would be worried about that car sitting too much.. I feel much better when I get to drive my car each day and not let it sit.

Thanks guys I appreciate the quick feedback.
Joel do you miss the Supra? Heh I have an Odyssey as well...looks like we have similar taste.
Merd93 are you positive? The owner said it has adaptive cruise control. Obviously it doesn't have parktronic but how can you tell that it doesn't have distronic?
Thanks
Thanks

Theres probally a story why it has been for sale for ever and has over 1700 hits. Something is deff. wrong. I think its some sort of scam in the making. Let us know how it all turns out!
I would also be very worried about a guy that says he has adaptive cruise (distronic) that clearly does not from the pictures of the grill.

I have attached the datasheet of the car from Mercedes for you. It only has a couple options. Price is too high considering what it has even though it is low miles.

Agreed on the price comment here. I would think you could negotiate several thousand lower for this car. That being said on the surface it appears like a great find.

+1 i rather pick up 40K miles than 16K miles without options. No keyles go, no parking sensor, no pano....... and better check if its roll back. 16k since 2004 kinda strange.
