Hey, can anyone tell me how easy or difficult it would be to switch out the headlights on the 03-06 w211 to the newer 07-09 w211? Is it plug and play or do i need to custom fit the lights, harness, etc. Any kind of help, i would greatly appreciate it.

Might need to change the headlight plugs since the newer models have cornering illumination..Need to find out more info.!! I never thought of doing the conversion of this kind, something to think about in the future.

I should be able to get some wiring diagram off all-data or Mitchell. Do you know if the Mounts are the same or not?

The mounts are the same but the plugs are different.

I am comparing the new to old. Why do this? Are the lights brighter? I would bet they would have to be because the stock HID's in my E55 suck *****, especially when compared my Lexus GS400 that does not even have the same type of headlight as the Benz.

I'm in the market for upgraded headlights and I've been on the fence on doing this but am timid. In ebay there are some facelift headlights that are plug and play for 03-06 vehicles but I can't get them to work with paypal for puerto rico and they want me to send them a money order....no no.

Sooooo....I don't know what to do.

The main reason I'm doing this is for better looks ( eyebrows) and it looks better over all

That link is for adding xenons to non-xenon vehicles. The op wants to upgrade 03-06 lights to 07-09 lights. Two different things.

LOL, I thought the op might like to see what is involved in actually changing out the lamps. (pretty much same thing)
But thanks for pointing out the oblivious.
I think with your wiring link and the R&R of the lamps link, most anybody could do this.

I was tempted to buy a pair of broken facelift headlights and only swap out the bezel, but that's a huge pain in the rear to bake 4 headlights to pull them apart.

In my case, it shouldn't matter since I might be missing the left side plug, harness and God knows what else.... :-\

Oh, she got totaled in the last winter storm we just had about 3 weeks ago in VA. Luckily, i came up. I picked it up on 20th of January and drove it from Tennessee to Maryland, on my way i hit the storm, 45 minutes away from home in VA, gets totaled. Luckily i had full coverage so insurance paid me GOOD money for it and i decided to buy it back and fix it and drive it till it dies...
