Why don't you post what you are really after. Is it BIX, the more color matched city light in the hi-beam section, etc. There are numerous posts that might answer your question and potentially could save you money.

It will be a direct fit, but I think some that have done it mentioned some minor modifications to the sockets since the pre-facelift ones level but are not adaptive.

As long as EPC does not have the new lights under group 99, I would assume there would not be any MB retrofit cable.

If I remember right, the front SAMs would be the same for both and the main difference between the xenon options seemed to be the CAN bus for the new lights control unit, it might be sufficient to wire the CAN bus from somewhere close where it already exists. Perhaps the new control unit is capable for all the new tasks without other units being updated (SW or HW). This could make the retrofit pretty reasonable. I guess jason already knows the details, I wonder why he isn't willing to spend any time writing some of the details.

As long as MB does not officially support the "upgrade", I would ask experts like Steve/BigSis, they would probably know the details and buying parts could include sufficient installation support too.

Lights

I Just Received The Plug And Wires For The 07 Headlights So It Is Possible For The Swap They Just Have To Be Wired. The Old Lights Have 4 Plugs And The 07 Have 1 Plug. From The 4 Plugs You Have Too Put The Grounds Together And Use A Tester To Figure Out Which Lights Are For Each Wire. After You Put The 4 Grounds Together You Will Have 4 Wires Left. 1 Is For The Headlight, 1 Is For The Turn Signal, 1 Is For High Beam, And The Last Is The Inner Driving Light And You Should Be Good To Go! Good Luck!

Bump, figured it out took about 2hours but got it. Had to extend all the wires about 6" and then wire up the new connector which was 10.00ea.
1)Ground-Brown -all must be twisted together apx 4 wires
2)Low beam-yellow/blk was on the main connector with 4 wires
3)Hi-Beam-white and yellow (there were 2 wires for hi-beam you had to connect these 2 together) located on the 2 small connectors
4)park lamps-thin blk and white-locted on a small connector above the hi beam plug.
5)signal-black and grey located on the main connector also.

this should help a bit the pics i have arent that great but you get the idea.

Can you tell me if your car came with Xenons originally? My 03 has Xenons, so I am getting ready to do the retrofit and was wondering if the wire instructions you posted will apply to my car.
Thanks

What is a "Frost projector Lens"? I have never heard of that. And OEM is not HID, it is BiXenon. HID would be an aftermarket kit.
