did i get a good deal ?
I just Purchased a 2005 CPO e55 AMG for 32900 out the door from a benz dealership. One owner 35000 miles fully loaded to my knowledge other than the sunroof in the back seat the color is black two tone leather (BLUE) love it !! I am new to the forums and was also wondering if any one could give me information on the best aftermarket warranty available to covers as close to bumper to bumper as possible. I Searched the threads already and all the information i have found on warranty is dated info please help ! The dealership offered me an aftermarket company named NWAN anyone heard of them? the quote was 4100 for 3yr/36000 miles.

If the car is CPO, that means it has a warranty as well. If it doesn't, than it's just a used car.
Deal-wise, hard to tell since we don't know the options. Does it have pano, nav, vented seats, distronic, parking sensors, etc?

CPO you should have one yr of warranty i believe. Contact Beck Imports for warranty but same price/ +/- on what the dealer offered. If you have a fed credit union, see if they offer warranty coverage.

hey BLKE55k that was a fast reply !!! yes it has all of those options other than the pano. And it said in the carfax it was a CPO and the dealership told me this i just think as of jan 1 2012 MB couldnt do the warranty if u have time look @ it should b up still on cars.com and autotrader.com thanks for the reply !

Either way a one owner with 35k is a good deal, but you didn't say it had a clean car fax. So I guess it would depend on the accident history and options. Warrenties are gonna be about the same. Just try to make friends with a good Indy shop in your area.

If you bought a "CPO" car, you should have 12 months of warranty.
If you bought a "formerly CPO" car, you ought to look into a warraty.

A dealer gives you a cpo warranty.your car had tge reg 5 year factory warranty.
You can only get a cpo if the dealers sells it as a certified pre own car that went threw there inspection and you get one year standard with the option to extend to two years and upto 120k miles.
You can not take a car and buy a cpo warranty and only get it if the dealer sells it as a cpo.
I wouldnt worry about it since you have low miles and things wont break for a while.like if you pay 4k for 2 years and never need to use it would be a waste.

I am asking if you double checked the paperwork on the sale. I am not following whether your car was purchased as a CPO car (and hence, has 12 more mos. of warranty) or whether it used to be a CPO car (and has no MB warranty).

If you are happy with the car and the price you paid for it, just be happy.
FWIW, I bought my 05 E55 in 2010 with 35k on it. It did not have pano, nav and the adaptive seats. It did have an extended warranty until Oct 2011. I paid $25k for the car.
