W211 New Guy Introduction.
Hey everyone... Kevin here, lurked for 4 years until I finally found a AMG Estate... I originally wanted a E63 Wagon, but warmed up to the idea of the 55, mostly from all of the great knowledge here. (again, with the lurking)
Just sold my Duramax TT, 650bhp/1200trq. It was just too big to roll around every day. Was a super fun truck, ran high 12's.
Currently DD'ing this little TDI Golf, it's pretty stock, and gets 40+ MPG
also, this was my old Volvo, so I've had an affinity for wagons for some time now.
Autotrader didn't have much in the way of wagons nationally, and as luck would have it, I finally found one right here on the forums actually, so I didn't walk, I ran.
On to the AMG.
Pretty much has all the options I think (still learning). Drove it home last night. 05, 65K Miles, 19" HRE's, (needs rear tires STAT!) Has a handbuilt 3" X-Pipe Exhaust, using the stock tailpipes.
Sounds great, drives great, looks great. Thanks for all the help, and I'll be trying to give back some help as I learn more.
--- I think we need a paddle shifter smiley.

Welcome!
Good to see new guys who learn first then go do and come tell us about it.
Love the wagon, don't think I've seen one balcked out on Forgestars.
Not a fan of the yellow lights but it's you car and your tatse that counts!

This is how a no one should make an entrance like Grant said! Not 400 posts, 10 stickies later! At that point, no one cares! Awesome ride! Is that the dark green one from the back classified section? Sweet looking wagon fo sho!

haha... I moderate on duramaxforum.com so I know the drill..
The yellow (it's xpel) is probably coming off... Not really my thing either.
I'll get some pics of it in the daylight.. note I said daylight and not sunlight.. as I live in Seattle, and it's February, so we won't see the actual sun itself for a few months. The Jade Black is insane... such a pretty color.
Hey, I searched around, but couldn't find anything.. I plugged my iphone in last night and it gave me the "charging is not supported with this accessory." Que!? There something I'm missing, or am I hosed?
Thanks man, yes it is!

I hear you about Seattle. I travel there a couple of times a year to Microsoft and I think I've had 3 sunny days out of 3 weeks there last year.

Correct newer iPhone's use a chargeing system that the older connector doesn't support. I use one of these http://www.amazon.com/Scosche-passPO.../dp/B001HN6CVA

Congrats and welcome. I climbed Rainier a few years back. Didn't see the mountain top until I was on it. Too much fog!

Thank you, appreciate the kind words. Truck had a 75mm fixed vane compounded over stock, built PPE tranny, (did it myself, nerve wracking) EFIlive tuning, fuuuunnnn.

Thank you, immediate plans are to remove the 35% tint and add 20%, remove the yellow headlight film, add 3K HID foglight bulbs, install conti dsw rear tires, LED interior, license plate, and city light bulbs.
Then.... Hoon the sh*t out f it.
