Anyone using an SLS coolant pump as an intercooler pump?

Saw on another thread that this is possible and is actually a superior pump to many others, so I bought one.

Just wondering how everyone is wiring them. This pump has a four pin plug and is a PWM controlled pump. SLS wire diagram shows ground for pin 1, power on pin 4, and pwm input on pin 3. Tried hooking up power and ground, and even put power on the pwm input, but can't get pump to spin. Any ideas?? I really don't want to have to use a pwm driver on this pump if I don't have to.

Wouldn't an SLR Intercooler pump be easier?

With the Intercooler pump you don't want too much flow since you will kill heat transfer
