Hey guys

looking to get into the AMG world. ive read and read about all the problems and soforth. im a DIYer so not to worried about too much. i found this for 27000. its a desert metallic, very clean looking in and out. 1 owner, carfax says its had these items done to it:
battery and alternator replaced in 06
hydraulic control unit replaced in 07
battery replaced 08
washer fluid res. replaced 07
tranny mount replaced 10

meanwhile all the recommended maintainence was done every year.

whats your opinions on this car. you think i should go for it?

1. Price should be negotiable. At least maintenance is done and it's a one owner car! I think price is a little high. Is there a warranty included
2. Are you okay with the color? It's the least desirable on a AMG, nothing wrong with it but it may come across as a traditional old man's Mercedes.

well im going to be trading in my 07 eclipse, i think i have them down to 18k with the trade in. yeah i kinda actually like the color. not the best but workable for sure.

 

Buy it! Pewter done right looks badass! Just looks at Knights car.

 

saw his, it is a beauty. gonna do cf lip and diffuser i think.

Sounds like the maintenance and all the necessary repairs were done.

it could be, its listed as gold so.. im not really good with identifying colors other than the basics. haha

 

agreed with moosejaw. Yes, the maintenance is most important thing for our AMG, if the owner had all the records. It good as it can get. Usually if old owner's is an older gentlemen that meant he must keep it very well under care.

YOS: I just bought (3 months ago) an 05 desert metallic, and I'm still not sure about the color yet. Need to see what the black wheels and other items do to it since these cars look pretty trick with blacked out parts. If it is indeed pewter, I say done deal!

 

If you like the color and its a one owner car, GO FOR IT! Seems that the maintenance has been done and there's alot you can do yourself.

No not at all. Just needs black accents in place of the chrome. Never thought silver and gold really went togther well. Reminds me of my grandmothers jewelry.

Oh and your sig says you drive a E55, did you buy one?

 

I'd say that picture of the car is desert silver metallic which is gold aka Old lady's Mercedes

no i havent gotten one yet. it was in antisipation of getting it. i actually drive the 06 jeep in my sig.

no not yet. hoping to go up this saturday and see it in person. the pics look very good tho. so im hoping its not a wash.

 

Any more pics, looks clean. I like the fact they didnt drill the bumper for a stupid front plate.

Looks super clean. You can tell it was a good owner, they have replaced the tires with original Contis, instead of some cheap knock offs. Good options too. ****** the one quick.
