COMMAND Experts...Radio Station Presets on Steering Wheel..
Never figured this out, and decided to try this over again..
When I first got my car MY05, when I used the left buttons on the Wheel it would jump the preset stations (1, 2, 3), somehow something got reset that now when I use them , it scans the actual radio for the next station up like a "tune" up..
Anyone know how to get this back to where it uses my preset stations on the wheel?

Even if you set it up in your preference settings, it still won't search by preset. It's like a bug that wasn't fixed. I'm not sure if it was ever fixed in the E55's.
However, when I updated my instrument cluster to the CLS63 instrument cluster, the preset search worked. I guess it was fixed when the 63 engines started coming out.

Mine worked for sure before ( mine is a 55) , I dont know why it stopped and started doing the "tune" up instead of the stations, all out of the blue.
I read in an old thread it could be key related in which key you use but it does it on both of mine now, so I dont think that is it.
