2005 E55 AMG
From; thechicagogarge.com

''For the first time at an airstrip in the Windy City, screaming exhaust and race gas will permeate your senses as sports cars, muscle cars and hot rods make their way down a private airstrip. Got the itch for speed? wannaGOFAST and TheChicagoGarage present the Chicago Half-Mile Shootout at Bult Airport, located 40 miles south of downtown Chicago in Monee, Illinois. On June 1st and 2nd, man up, dump the clutch and hold on for a half-mile down Bult Airfield's private 5,001-foot runway. See what it’s like to finally race without the restrictions of speed limits on your own private interstate! Participation as a racer is open to the public and limited to 150 cars each day so be sure to register early -- spots will fill quickly. Don’t have a car? Don’t fret, because spectating is open to the public on both days as well.''

Pricing:
$195 promo pricing (once registration goes live). $225 after two weeks of registration being open.
$15 for spectators.

This event will consist of:
Standing 1/4 Mile
Standing 1/2 Mile
Roll racing

More details to follow in the coming weeks & months.

I know that 5 or so years ago busse woods would have "safety checks" aka no front plate ticketing around spring time. Car people used to go crazy in there doing burnouts etc so they don't like car guys very much. Not sure if they still do it or not. They used to hide just around the 2nd bend and you couldn't turn around. They stoped me a while back for it but I had temp plates. When he walked around the back and saw the temp plates he was pissed he couldn't give me a front plate ticket and let me go

How many cars appx usually show up for this meet? I'm not too far from Buse Woods so something in that general area would be cool. Depending on the size of the crowd I can think of a few places in the area.

Maybe Schiller Woods by Irving Park and Cumberland across Irving from the model airplane field? Close to 90 and 294. Tons of parking and open area and I've done some smaller meets in there without a problem ever. Only thing I ever see around there area couple forrest preserve cops but they never bother anyone.

Throw this in google maps and there's a lil parking lot of sorts there, or any of the strips of parking should be able to be hijacked easily enough. In the spring it's not too busy in there.

"Schiller Woods-West Picnic Grove, West Irving Park Road, Chicago, IL"

Mbworld meet or the 1/2 mile event? The 1/2 mile is limited to 150 cars each day. The mbworld meet usually is 20 or so cars, maybe more.

A number of years ago, a bunch of guys came down from Chi to Indy and joined a few of us in Indy. Here is a photo at the Brick Yard.

We toured the car museum and then lined up for a controlled lap around the track. The best part was the cruise down to an area called Brown county. We got a bit rowdy on I465 and next thing you know ISP shows up in their little unmarked Mustangs. I think one guy got pulled over but no tickets.

Just a cruise as a group of ten or more cars is a lot of fun. We should be able to pull that off.
