Cluster Swap W/Mileage Retained-No SDS
If the used new cluster has less miles than your current cluster DO NOT connect the cluster until the cluster is virgin again.
If you ignore this, your EIS will take over the lower miles and cause chaos. It is also illegal to lower your mileage.

I still have the old cluster, but is doesn't turn on. So. how i can solved this? What can i do and how? Is it posible to do a software upgrade with newest version which support my car model?
Thanks in advance.

I did retrofit the cluster of my CLK 350 W209 from the standard black to the silver with white gauges then the odometer showed ------ so I did swap the "brains" like Nealgobert said and voila! We are back again with OEM mileage and features. No soldering No complications just swap the circuits. (the one with the connector)
Thank you so much!
