2005 E55 AMG
I can't do a dedicated commuter car. I've tried it several times and it just gets sooo boring. Currently I cycle between our Nissan Altima Hybrid, MB E55, and MB SLK230. I try to use the Altima more than the other cars to save on gas costs and keep the mileage off the MBs. But the other cars do the commute at least once every week or two.
My commute is currently about 26 miles each way.

07 E63. 07 STi limited #606/800
I'm using my 2007 Subaru Impreza STi limited. The grown up's STi. Around 15-19 mpg City and I've gotten 26.9 mpg on many trips to and from California.
I love it, as it's pretty sleeper looking, and avoid speeding tickets which is nice. I always get the cops to start tailing me no matter how normal I'm driving in the AMG. Luckily the Purple Heart plates tend to lean them away from the Red and Blue light switch.

My wife got promoted and she now drives the E55 4 miles a day. In 4.5 years, we put around 20k miles on the car. I guess we need to drive it more. I went out and bought a 02 C230 Coupe for my 120 mile daily commute. I put more than 3000 miles a month on the car. It has been solid for the past 1.5 year but some minor issues are starting to develop. I can probably get the amount I paid for the car minus all the maintenance. The C230 now has 120K miles.

AKnight55 You won't be disappointed! I think the limiteds only came on the 2007 STi and 2007 WRX. Then I think there are the newer ones that have limiteds too, but they don't look nearly half as good as 2002-2007 Impreza's.
Chawkins that is a fast *** truck. lol. My panties are down.

But the handling offsets everything. I take turns in the STi I would never think about doing in the AMG. I know my AMG would turn just as decently, but the all wheel drive makes you feel a bit more confident.

How long have you had those HRE's
Did you order them from Wheels Boutique in MIA
I remember that rim was sitting in their showroom for the longest time due to a customer that cancelled his order

2015 E63s, 2012 E63-all done , Saab 9-5 Aero (2) Honda CBR 929-sold
Just got my E63, and still driving my other cars as dd. SAAB 9-5s. Have 3 of them, 2 Aeros, '01+'02, and a regular '00.\ sedan. The 'oo and '01 are at 130k miles, the 02, which I drive mostly on my 100 mile round trip commute, has 197k . All are reliable, and dependable. Do all the work on them , so not that expensive. Now if I can just figure out how to jack (and jack stand ) this E63 up !@#

I've been thinking of buying a new 2 door TDI golf manual.
I have USAA, so I can pick it up for $24,036+TTL. Not bad.
I'm sure the way I take care of my cars, I can make that diesel last 400k in my hands driving mostly to california from az and waste half as much on gas.
