E service ?
I have had my e55 now since Sunday and the only thing it would say that needed done was service E in 4500 miles. I get in my car today and the first thing that pops up is E service in 30 days. I have only driven the car maybe 400 miles since I got it. So if anyone can tell me why it would say that needs to be done after only 400 miles of driving when it clearly said 4500 miles just a few days ago let me know
Thanks

I can not find the other thread from a year or two ago with the same title.
Get a prinout from the dealer on the service performed on that VIN and decide what needs to be done using your service manual.
Service E means only that approximately 5 hrs of work will be required.

I got a master tech down here that would take care of everything for cheap. He has his own shop and does all the repair work on my car regaurdless of my warranty. Services aren't covered under warranty any way.

I could have gotten a "wear and tear warranty" when I got mine, but it more than doubled the price, it did full service, etc...

Go back and check, I bet they meant service B.

Most dealers quote the $350.00 for any service over the phone, and say that it only includes inspecting not replacing the filters you need. After you get there they'll call you back and say that you need the air filter, cabin filter, brake flush and so on, at a higher price. That way when you call an Indy and they price you what the E service actually is they seem high. BUT the dealer will always end up higher.

I have a service E coming and have done a service D. Being it is a D I am guessing at least 4 hours of labor are configured.
Service D for me included a brake fluid flush. The service ran me $680 at my Chicago dealership. I am guessing E will run close to the same because I change my own oil now.

E service for $350 ? i am pretty sure they will only change your oil and filter and Done ! Most of time dealer won't do much...... i rather change and flush items than using the Service ABCDE...... Dealer guy work 1 hour in your car and charge you 4 hours labor and most of them are "Visual inspect"
Flush the brake, Coolant, engine oil, air filter, tranny oil and filter. This will runs you about $600 in Indy shops.

My advise is No on third party warranty. They don't approve everything. It cost about $3k to $4K, I rather have this money in my pocket and do the basic maintenance properly. Most of E55 parts are not that expensive anymore, unless you blow the engine by modding but that won't cover by ext. warranty. The most common failure part is Airmatic which runs $450 today with Arnott. Find a good indy shop.
