so "S" mode is "Summer" mode?
I guess it kind of makes sense given the summer time allows a bit more 'sport' with less rain/leaves/snow on the road

Leave it in summer mode or sport mode
I've heard both descriptions before
On C32 some cars had w/s and others had c/s
I knew W=winter, C=Comfort.
I assumed S= Sport Mode but see how it came be interpreted as Summer Mode.
Looks like another entertaining day here at MBW

I hate to say it but you realize you purchased a E55 right?
The above screenshot that you "mocked" is for the C32/SRT product...one in which they don't have the same trans modes the E55 does.
When they add our tuning, we add an additional mode and called it summer mode as does the engineers at AMG when they did a simular modification...

no mocking, I just thought it was a funny misprint but from your comments - Summer mode is 'real' ?

2005 E55 AMG
I have heard people call S the Summer mode. But as far as MB manuals go, S is for Standard on the C and SLK and Sport on the E class. Not sure what the other classes have it abbreviated for as I have only owned the 3 I mentioned.
