Might be a photo bucket issue, I'll see if I can't clean it up.
That would be great i plan on doing this either monday or tuesday as long as the weather holds up out here.

Hows the sound quality over Aux?
My Aux sounds great, have heard aux in other benz sounds horrible... IDK I thought I read somewhere somebody did the integration and didnt see an improvement in the sound quality?

I didn't realize that spotify and pandora came through to the display. Just tested it.
I've already got the charging adapter for the iPhone 4.
This changes everything now. I previously just kept a 160GB iPod loaded up in the glove box...now I need to get a good mount for my iPhone. Had a proclip in my C32 and think I'll go that route again.

Other than being able to use the steering wheel to control the audio selection, are songs displayed differently/selectable on the main screen?
, but having control of the iPod from the steering wheel and being able to see the playlist, etc. is well worth the $99 (for me). You could test as well and see what you think. I would guess the kit should not degrade audio quality as much as my test.

So I exited the stone age and went out and bought an iPod Classic this weekend since I didn't want to have my phone "hardwired" to the auxillary port while I'm driving. I tranferred a couple of playlists I created on ITunes. I bought a couple of precut Velcro strips at Home Depot and secured the iPod in the glovebox. Since then, while I'm driving I've been listening to nothing but the iPod in the car, and the audio really sounds great with the Command set in the Logic 7 mode. Seems like it's better than the CD sound to me.
What's also great is being able to scroll through the various playlists, and songs within the lists. They all appear on the instrument cluster display and the steering wheels buttons control everything. I couldn't be happier with this long overdue upgrade.

I think it's needed, I got this from some other forum:
"In Star, go into Instrument Cluster, Adaptations, Special Equipment, and turn the iPod/Telephone option on. Save the coding, and you're done - Until this is done the phone buttons on the steering wheel won't work so you can not control the iPod"

Good stuff! The sound quality over the iPod connector is awesome, just wish it were a hair bit louder....
Has anyone tried one of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ipod-Dock-Ca...item3cb19d8562
Looks like an easy option to get the auxiliary that's lost with the ipod connector...
Roverron is right you don't need to. I just hooked up the star on my car now and it says: [ telephone/ipod - present ] even though I haven't installed the kit yet, plan on doing it thursday.

The sound quality is MUCH better than the aux in.
abhatti55 did my install for me and sure he will be glad to give you some tips if needed. We put mine in the center console and I just leave the ipod in there connected and only take it out to add more music.
Hope this helps.
I just did my install and it works great sound is crystal clear and thanks to yacht masters dyi it was a peice of cake. I have one problem my ipod nano does not charge does everything else but charged iplug in a older i pod classic and it was charging fine. Does anyone else have this issue?
