Anyone able to retrofit a e63 steering wheel on a 03-04 e55?
I know some '05s and '06s can do the swap directly. My question is has anyone successfully installed a e63 steering wheel on a early model e55? If so what additional parts are needed? How do you sync the wiring up?

Bump looking to see what parts would be need to do this retrofit. Has anyone pulled it off. Rather get e63 wheel than aftermarket or retro paddles.

I believe that in order to use an E63 steering wheel on an 03-04 E55, you will need: a different airbag, a steering column module and a different transmission control module. This could cost in the range of $2000. Not 100% sure on cost though.

hmm ok thanks. It would be good to get a definitive list. I saw one thread where someone was able to do it with a 03 so i know its possible.

Will the newer style e63 airbag work on a 04? I know the paddles wont...but wanted to know if the steering wheel and aigbag will at least function?
