Renntech 178 pulley, Heyvron shorty headers with both cats, k&n's, split cooling with tiny under hood res, plm HE w cm-30 and Jeremy tune.

BTW, do drag radials improve trap speed or just et's???
Depends how bad your wheel spin is. It can hurt traps or make them better.

B. From personal experience, they increased mine. Also overheard the OG's talking about how PSI in the DR's will also have an effect - and that there is a "magic number" that will get you to dead hook and increase your trap speed.

The 265/40/18 MT radials slowed me down a 1-2 mph.. They are a rather tall tire, which makes a difference in trap speeds.

Okay I'm in. This was in 80degree weather and about 70 percent humidity.

My car ran 11.42
1.6 60'
121mph
while spinning the driverside rear tire.
Bad track prep and no LSD.
Mods are in my sig.
Full weight on MT ET Streets. (they fu**ing suck) need some hoosiers. lol
No "magic" track either!

True. I believe this has to do with throttle input.

There is no magic number per sey. You want to run as much air pressure as possible while still being able to hook hard. This will give you the best performance. Low tire pressure = drag
Taking it one step further, what works on car "A", might not be optimal on car "B". Why? Vehicle weight, suspension (hard or soft hitting), and even burnout routine will change what pressure you want to run.

MagicTrack??? I've heard of that, for internet phone calls...lol

No magic here either, some tracks are better than others...and some cars are better sorted out...and some drivers have more experience with a better touch.
No reason to hate though, your beast is running strong and keeps getting stronger!

1.6 60' time is very impressive. You need a trunk tank with ice then you'll be a lot faster.

I have another slip to add from yesterday. Quick run down, went to the track to help a friend get his car sorted out. Couldn't resist making a few passes as well. Ran my car with zero prep: no ice in trunk tank, new 19" Hankook evo v12 (didn't even touch the pressure), full weight...exactly how she is everyday, after driving 3+ hours to the track.
Was warned not to run under 11.5 or I would not be able to run again. Game over for full run! I made a couple 1/8th mile passes instead.

On the plus side: Great DA.
On the minus side: Track was too cold for street tires so I couldn't launch hard. There was a strong head wind killing MPH as well.

I was happy just to be back behind the wheel. After almost 18 months from my cervical fusion, I finally got the green light to live again.

You are thinking of magic jack for internet calls

And the magic he speaks of would come in the affect of the way below sea level DA from cold unhumid air that some northerners get to have which does some magic on making cars go much faster. Such as a -2000 DA that was at test n tune the other night where Ahmad showed a ZR1 run a 10.2@135 stock.

I'm on the fence Steve. If the weather looks good, I'll make the trip.
If not, I'll be tuned in for the updates.

BTW, I still have your slips on my phone if you want me to post them.

You know I was only making a joke, right...lol

No magic...just mother nature at work, and good prep.
That's why everyone should concentrate on their own PB, not others.
Make the trip if it's that important to you. If not, there is no reason to tarnish someone's results because they made the effort. just saying

I meant no disrespect and by no means am I hating. I would love to make that trip, but work and 6 kids makes it very hard. Down here, I will never see those conditions. The heat down here kills my car. BTW congrats on that 11.2 run on street tires.

I hear you on that! I would like to make the trip more often as well. Always, family first.
I realize you have it tough racing down there. Even with those challenges, you are doing very well. Your 60's are really good!

Thanks bro! I wouldn't be where I'm at if it wasn't for all the help I've gotten from all the members. Thank you!

Rocket55 with Nitrous

Rocket55 on leaded Q16 dynotune 118 Octane!

How are the factory 02's holding up on the Q16? I imagine they get quite lazy after running that stuff.

I dont know how they're holding up yet. I found out i need to add a little fuel to the tune now so that should help a little too. I wish i had waited and let the car cool down before i made that pass on nitrous but it was getting late. Even with the ice tank heat soak with this big pulley happens very fast and that was my third run in a 10 minute span. Hopefully you make it down to the next rental and we can do some side by side runs. I'm trying to get my diff in this week so traction shouldn't be a problem anymore

I'm looking forward to lining up together!

Get that diff in! I'm sure you will get all the pieces of the puzzle to come together next time out. Don't change too much at once.
