Well, i purchased my e55 about 6 months ago and checked the radiator to make sure it was the problematic valeo radiator. Sure enough, it was! The car was CPO'd in 2005 so i was hoping they might have possibly switched out the radiator then, but i didn't get that lucky. Anyhow, the car has 104k miles, the tranny doesn't seem to have any issues; it shifts perfect! Looking at radiators, it seems to be much cheaper to just add a transmission cooler and be done with the factory one in the radiator. I will be tackling that this weekend. Stay tuned!

I diverted the stock trans cooling as well and installed a remote cooler. If you want to use the stock trans fluid lines fittings, they are an odd fitting. If I remember correctly they are BSPP fittings.

Thanks, I will probably try to convert it to just regular hose barbed fittings.
