New E55 Owner,
Hey Everyone, My name is Gil. Yesterday I picked up 04' White E55 with 92k on it.
I'm coming from a E46 328ci and before that an Audi TT. The transition from those two cars made yesterday a day in an amusement park, a totally DIFFERENT drive.
Now to the car:
I lucked out with the panomaric roof and merlot interior but missed out on several options. Some of them being: keylessGo, active seats, distronic, parktronic. But Im happy with the car nonetheless.
I'm aware since its a high mileage car with no warranty, I intend on being top of all my maintenance. The car is currently in the shop getting serviced. The car had an exhaust manifold leak and squeaky belts. I'm changing gaskets, serpentine belt, supercharger belt, air filters, transmission flush and filter, and spark plugs. If you have anything else in mind that I should replace in the near future, please let me know. Whats the avg coolant temp, I seen it reach up to 100c and i was a bit worried?? I'm used to see coolant temps staying in the middle but every instrument cluster isn't the same.
I have some plans for the car that I should be taking care of this summer. I want to try out the suveer e63 front bumper and rear C/F diffuser (intend on wrapping in matte black, Im not fond of any c/f). JBSpeed foot pedals and flat badge. As far as exhaust, I only want to remove the resonator for the time-being. I had 3" turbo back exhaust on my Audi TT and I don't want to deal with the cabin noise. And lastly I want to lower with STAR, if anyone knows any in the NYC area let me know. I have someone out in philly but looking for something closer.

First off how much you pay,second hit up djrabbi he can lower via star via a price,3rd nice color combo,and last but not least you should look into c63 mufflers?

Thanks, Im looking to have it done by the end of April.
Can you shed some light on the coolant temperature?
Is it normal to reach 100degrees? On the freeway, it lowers down to about 80-90 because of the oncoming wind I'm assuming?
Could it be a failing heat exchange, ic pump? Something in that area?

That car was trashed when I looked at it. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Inside was smoked in, rear was demolished from being a city car. Had some error because of battery, exhaust leak, and it sounded like the supercharger pulley bearing was making a lot of noise. The car had been broke into several times, you could see where they tried to pick the locks with hangars or something.

that's definitely a rare color combo, I don't think I've seen any white/merlot with pano before
