EBC yellow here. I have had EBC red also and prefer the yellow for initial bite. The red is a ceramic pad and says that it is not ideal for track conditions so yellow was my choice as I ocassionally take my car to a road course (VIR). http://www.ebcbrakes.com/selector.shtml

Yellows are better, no argument, but they are NOT wife freindly, IMHO.

By the way, COOL that you DO track that beast!!!!
I have actually tracked my S600, only had about 4 laps before my brakes faded, but the look on the Porsche GT3's face on the straight, priceless, LOL

Just a note my friend, REDS ARE rated for occasional track use from EBC. And yes I have used them at the track.

When I bought my red stuff for my S 2 years ago, it stated that RED was intended for occasional track use. Which was the exact reason I bought them for my C32 a few years earlier.
I guess times are a changin, or I am just getting senile

EBC Redstuff all around and their awesome. If you don't believe me watch the video in my signature below especially at the end when I break. I go from 156MPH to 0 in .2 of a mile. Yes you read that correctly.
ABS didn't even trigger.

Try max breaking from 140 MPH with OEM's a few times and you will see the difference. Once hot, the fade is quite noticeable. On average, with normal street use, any pad will be adequate. However, for myself, I just like to know that I can get out of trouble faster than I got into it.
