Heat not working-blows cold air
I haven't been driving my E55 in the winter but just got it out and the heat isn't working on it. It just blows out cold air. I have had this issue for a while and have not driven it partially due to this issue. A local mechanic was able to get it to work for a little while by just letting the car run for a long time.
The car was brought to a local place that specializes in heating and A/C and they were not able to figure out the problem. They thought it could possible by the blower door sticking? I did a little research and most of the issues I see online point to the control valve (link to a similar problem below).

I haven't replaced anything yet and am wondering if there are any other common issues that could lead to this or if the best course of action would just be to get this fixed?
My car is a 2003 E55 AMG if the year matters. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the quick replies guys. I will look at fixing it. If you know anything else it could be, I would still entertain any other options.
