want to make fastest e55!!!
hey guys my name is sasha. i want to buy e55 for modifications. i read this forum very much and the information is very good. i decide between e class and cls and i pick e class. i want to know though will this car be reliable when heavy modification is made. i want to make more than 650 horsepower on dynometer machine. i dont want to take long time but straight away build because this is not the car i drive everyday. i still want reliable but it will be for something else so i have some time to work on car.

We can help....look at e55amgrockets car and go from there. He has the fastest E55 out there right now...

This should help: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octane_rating
Anti-Knock Index (AKI)
In most countries, including Australia and all of those in Europe, the "headline" octane rating shown on the pump is the RON, but in Canada, the United States and some other countries, like Brazil, the headline number is the average of the RON and the MON, called the Anti-Knock Index (AKI, and often written on pumps as (R+M)/2). It may also sometimes be called the Pump Octane Number (PON).
Difference between RON and AKI
Because of the 8 to 10 point difference noted above, the octane rating shown in Canada and the United States is 4 to 5 points lower than the rating shown elsewhere in the world for the same fuel. See the table in the following section for a comparison.

You may not understand that the US is on a different rating system. 93 octane in the US is equavalent to 98 octane in Europe.

The AK thing was hilarious....That has to be one of the funniest things I've heard/read/seen all week I had to read it twice with an accent. On another note, as Americans we often forget how many things we say that have dual meaning. People often take us figuratively, especially when its just text, as opposed to conversation. For example, "If you buy an AMG new you'll end up taking a bath in it." Some may think you are trying not to get it dirty instead of taking a financial loss. Anyway, original poster has some proven formulas to follow from those that have done alot of ground work, but it will still take alot of effort, practice and passion to break records, just like the current and previous holder. Lots of luck.

2005 E55 AMG
I highly doubt you can get 650whp on pump gas regardless what you do ( unless you use nitrous or at least meth injection. ). With 30+k I would look into simply removing the supercharger and turbocharge the car. Then 650whp would be a breeze.
