I used Americas Auto Body in Schaumburg which MB of Hoffman Estates uses. They also have a guy on staff to assist with diminished value if applicable. They have a sign that says official auto body of the Bears in their shop but I'm sure it's only because they advertise with the Bears. I used them when Knauz hit a deer with my 63. Then had their work reviewed by an independent DMV person who said it was good.

Call Mark at Arlington Collision 407 North Salem Avenue Arlington Hts, IL 60005
(847) 259-8000

They did an amazing job on my Ferrari and are restoring my Supra at the moment. Great people to work with and great quality.

I also had Arlington Collision paint the front bumper, hood and fenders on my E55. The paint work looks factory.

I used to work at royal coach Bartlett and they do good work who ever you use, ask to see some finished vehicles first. there are a lot of bad body shops out there, epically downtown. FYI standox is factory paint for mb, I would look for a shop that uses standox. I don't want to say the name but don't use the body shop on division near 90 in Chicago. there work is horrible

Glad you said that I was tempted to try them out. Need license plate holes filled and repainted. Otherwise just going to get the replica e63 bumper.

Yeah I'm thinking it's a good opportunity for me to get the e63 front end since that's going to need to be replaced anyway.

Any other mods I should do while I'm at it?

I don't think it does. Who would I buy that from?

I was also thinking the e63 front with the CF lip thing. Any vendors on here sell all 3?

eurocharged (loungn14) "Jake" can supply you with pump and heat exchanger, and front end converstion you can pick up also from a vender on here.

https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...tock-only.html there is the link for front end convertion

I took it to A&L in Palatine. Looks like I may need a new hood too...definitely a new grill.

They seem to know what they're doing there. Hopefully I'll have her back in a week or so all nice and shiny.

Added a pic to the original post.

Is autohauz or Knauz any good for paintwork? Trying to find something close to work. Or does any have any recommendations for someone who does smaller paint work to do e.g. front bumper license plate holes only.
