E55 Top Speed

You have the factory set speedo, and so long as you are not changing the wheel/ tire setup extreamly, the verience shouldn't be that large. Comparing other platforms and basing it off that is silly... Specially from people who have not gone there then selves...

modded E55 reached 342km
my E55 modded reached 320km @ 5600rpm.
speedo is accurate about 100km above 200km and above 300km.
tested when getting fines ^_^
radar is set to catch above 160km and when i passed in my E55k @ 161km it flashed me.
however my new CLS63 speedo is giving 3km more than GPS/real speed.
modded E55 reached 342km
my E55 modded reached 320km @ 5600rpm.

it's just hilariously ridiculous to assume a company like MB would make such a retarded speedometer which is inaccurate to 35mph and like I said if anyone wants to start talking about variations then start talking in +/- and I hope AMGPILOT isn't saying the stock E55 does 235mph 
So the top speed is either 165mph or 235mph 
200mph on the speedo is 200mph or maybe +/- up to 5mph.

yes it is 100% accurate till the end.
it was modded by rentech as i recall
and i was riding with him when we reached that speed. ( needle reach 320 ) and digital keeps increasing with RPM going all the way down .

It was ridiculous anyway the notion that at 200mph it's actually 165mph. If that were true then Mercedes-Benz needs some help making their clusters and sensors

As for the road Ali lives in Abu Dhabi which has long stretches of straight road and clearly these guys have ***** OF STEEL By the way the video works just fine.

Well actually you embarrassed yourself. Many E55's with 200mph speedos don't read past 80mph correctly with the error getting larger towards the end of the scale. The reason? They still have "Tachometer Symmetrische" selected in the developer Adaptations when it should be "Tachometer Asymmetrishe"
Now I never said it couldn't make 200, I said you're not going to go 225. You need 250MORE HP to go 225 than you do to go 200 and gearing wise you'd have to turn the motor way past power peak
So next time you want to stick your foot in your mouth by all means go for, just understand what's being talked about, and understand all the underlying variables and maths first

yes I know but I was just confirming because AMGpilot gave a different result and I wanted to see if it was correct I saw that video, Jesus Christ the insane thing wasn't the speed but the braking AND the distance you had (or should I say didn't have) before the road ended Nice work guys you are missing the point! i know my merc is low end and rather oldish and i always feel like i am the king of the road at 220km/h (considering that in South Africa this is a month in jail with no option of a fine - and in cape town there are gangs known for rapping men!)
I would drive at over 200mph there and carry some serious firepower, I've heard SA is dangerous but this is some sick twisted **** Honestly do what ever you can including speeding to avoid getting raped or you'll end up looking like this
