Pressure Sensor Code after TB install

Hi,

after the 80mm TB and the VRP-Header install i was drinving on a highway with about 130mph.
After i left the highway and stopped at the trafficlight the idle was going up and down.

It throwed the code P2007-008 B28 Pressure Sensor.

Any idea what can be wrong?

Thx.

Hmmm...never seen that code before. I wonder what pressure sensor they are referring to.

It isn't Map.
Map is Errorcode P0105.

It should be to detect the boost or something like that.

Sorry!
You are right it's the map sensor!

P2007 B28 (Pressure sensor)(P0105)

(P0105) = MAP Sensor

Did somebody replace it already???
I hope i don't have to remove the sc again.

Ahhh...P0105. I've gotten that more than once for no apparent reason. I think it could be because I reach 14+psi and I can't remember if the sensor is a 2 bar sensor, which would explain it.

I'm not sure but i think it's an 2,5bar sensor.

I'm confused because i never had this code before installing the 80mm tb.

I can tell you this. I replaced twice and still the CEL comes and that only happens when I drive on the highway on almost constant speed around 135 - 160 km/hr.

I also never had this issue until I was using the 82mm TB which is off the car now coz I will sell the car soon

I am curious , didnt I read that it is best to tune the ECU for the enlarged TB or there is a TB reset needed .. have you done that ? Maybe worth a try and see .

I just adapted the tb with Star Diagnose.
Maybe i really have to do the tb reset too

Ahmad do you know the reason for the cel?
Can you explain me how to chance the map sensor?
Did your idle go up and down also?

Thank you

Even after I changed the sensor, the CEL came later on. Changing it is easy and you don't need to open the supercharger if you have the right tools and time .. There is DIY for this work, I am sorry I don't have the link saved anymore

My ideal will go a little bit down but it will start to hesitate soemtimes whne CEL is on.

I am thinking of somethings but it could be wrong:

1. Either you have pressure leak somewhere before the sensor.
2. Or it tries to read higher than it should be even by fractions.
3. Tune is not 100% ok since system is circuits with feedback, depending on pressure coming to ECU from the MAP.

If you are welling to spend 25 USD (that's what I paid for new OEM one), try to find a sensor that reads a little bit higher just in case it is problem of high reading or new sensor to be in the safe side or at least to eliminate the those options.

Even if you reset the TB and used scanner to clear the code, it will show up again when you have the same situation and condition.

Good luck, let us know how it goes.

1. Open the surge tank on the passenger side, you will see the sensor just after the outlet of the IC towards the Y pipe. Use long key to open it, you will need to have some patience to do that

I hope that you bought some aftermarket sensor that can read slightly higher range.
