AFE Pro Dry filter swap 2007 E63

just bought an '07 E63 last month with 72k on the odometer.i got an OE tune first and Jeremy and Josh recommended the AFE for a cheap, easy mod.anyway i found a DIY thread here and went ahead and did it.tons of debris inside the housing.i noted on the old air filter i removed that it said AMG on the side right next to the Mann insignia.i am guessing that this is original to the car.does anyone know for sure?i can't imagine them stamping AMG on every filter they make, and was thinking they might only do it on the original?

anyway i removed the charcoals and installed the AFE Pro Dry.they didn't fit as perfectly as the OEM filter and i was a little concerned, but once i re-torqued the bolts it looked like they seated up perfectly.

the idle is better and throttle response better.it's raining here so i couldn't really open it up,but it drives noticeably smoother.i will know more tomorrow about WOT improvement if any.

the old filters were completely clogged.i'm sure any new filter would have made an improvement, but so far i am very happy with the AFE Pro Dry.
