Active Xenon Head Lights - intermittently working

getting the display "Active Head Lights Not Functional" (or something close to that) on startup and noticed last night the passenger side lamp is definitely focussed down and to the right of the car pretty significantly...
I will be talking the car to the garage to have it checked out and hopefully done under warranty...

my question is - for the garage to fix this, they'll have to pull the front bumper to get access to the light - correct?
my hope is to have my H/E installed at the same time to reduce the amount of labor since the bumper would already be off...

Yes, I just added Xenon and I had to pull the bumper. It is the only way to get the headlight out.

Did you try turning the steering wheel all the way to the left and all the way to the right to try and clear this? Sometimes thew steering angle sensor can cause this. Car need to be in park and running with lights on.

I ran into this issue when i reset my battery.
Also had issues with something else where the steering wheel trick Grant mentioned worked.

yah, I'm going to try the full wheel lock trick, the problem went away once - but we'll see...

I never realized how much those lights make a difference until it stopped working - what a great option!

Do they auto-level correctly upon startup?

Before you take it in, pull the battery cable, wait a few minutes, then hook it back up and do the full left/right full lock thing.

You'll have to reset your windows too c

no auto-level going on....

gotta take it in for the driver's door handle that's not locking/unlocking anyways, so it's just 'one more thing'
