Widest Rears With Michellin Pilot Super Sports?

I'm running stock size Super Sports but need to replace the rears. They're 265/35/18 but thinking of replacing with 275 or 285. Does anyone run these specific tires? I'm not lowered but drive in Sport 2.

I'm running the super sports in stock size as well and if I recall correctly, when I bought them michelin didn't have the appropriate aspect ratio for the 275's or 285's...but perhaps they do now.

Our cars should have come with 275's but at the time continental didn't have a 275. You will have no problems with a 275.

I ran hankook 275's while lowered and sport 2 without issue

I wouldnt run a 285 on a 9" wheel.. Thats going to bulge a bit.. 275 will fit the stock wheel much better..

It bulges more than a bit....

I bought 2 of those 285 Exclaim UHPs and put them on my stock rears....

It bulges quite a bit.

Here....I'll totally spoil the surprise for you.

Stock 18" Rear wheels (9") with a 275mm Michelin PSS:

I've got that same tire on the 18" CLS split-spoke wheel (9.5") now and they look good with no rubbing (Comfort, Sport1, Sport2) even with the more aggressive offset.

Thanks Marcus!

One of these days I'll finally have some spare time and install my ELM, and I'll take a new photo with the CLS wheels and a proper stance. Had them refinished last fall and they look even cleaner than those....(if you can believe that).

Your paint looks like glass too! I love it when I see someone that actually knows how to take care of a car! In just that little shot I can tell that car is immaculate! Oh and get that ELM installed already!
