Appearance/Looks are so subjective. Folks didn't like the updated w211s when they first came out either. I personally like the w212s and will gladly wait a couple of years for them to depreciate and go grab one.

I'm pretty sure I can get an E63tt to run me at the track. There's a video of him on youtube running 11.15. It's tuned by RT. Should be a good match up. "Maybe" I can get some highway runs in Mexico of it also. BTW when do you need those wheels back?

The hard part is the e55 needs near pristine conditions to run 10s while there is a vid recently of clstt running 10.9 with a friggin 1.8 60 footer in blazing Florida heat. That's just power that the 55 really just can't touch

And there's no harm in that!!! Just the evolution of AMG

Of course under different conditions, the cars will react differently. Stock to stock, I think they are very close. Tuning on the 63tt is much more productive than on the 55k
Was this on the same night? Just curious because while there are some really fast stock or basically stock E55 times out there, what most don't realize is those are in very good weather which plays a HUGE role. So on an average day to day basis I would say the new E63 would rock an E55s world and a tuned E63 would will make it lights out even to a heavily modded E55 in most cases. You have to also think that when you think of the real fast time E55s out there, they are pulling out all the stops with running race gas and even race gas tunes, taking out their interiors, removing their exhausts, putting skinny tires in the front, running large tanks of ice water that last a single pass down the track and other things not mentioned (excluding e55amgrocket who has ran blistering times and speeds at full weight). On a full weight E55 out on the streets mode (no cold engine and ice water, race gas tune cranking, etc) most are several tenths and mph slower.

I have watched a stock E55 run upper 12s-13.0 at under 110mph at Gainesville Raceway in Florida on a nice and warm day, I have also watched a basically stock (heat exchanger only) E55 run in Bradenton, FL on a hot day doing upper 12s (12.7) at 107mph and I was only doing 12.4-6@112-114.

And like you said the cars will react differently under different conditions, since I myself have with a good amount of mods also fluctuate a large amount from a cool/cold night to a hot day going from mid 12s at 112-114 in the heat like stated above to upper 11s low 12s range at 117-120 (all street tires runs) in cooler weather and/or with car cold and iced down.

It is incredible the performance that has been gained on that new turbo engine with just a tune, and with other mods like cat delete with straight down pipes to a larger exhaust ready to untap a nice chunk of power still left on the table among other mods, those cars are going to be absolutely ridiculous in another year or two.

My CL63TT W216 PP is an out right missile after 180Km/h...

My E55K, however murders my CL63TT-PP, up to 180Km/h - 190Km/h ???

With all the new AMG technology and super-quick shifting gearbox units, specialised injection systems, super light weight engine internals, etc, etc ....

That all says " Greatest Respect to the W211 E55K "

My old and trusted Beast.
