One thing that generates tq is Cubic inches which the 5.4 litre has, and the second is changing out the crank pulley and not the blower pulley. If the pulley of choice to change was the blower pulley, I guarentee it would not make as much tq. Creating boost via the crank pulley produces a large increase in tq.

it does make a difference, I am not sure why though. The reasoning stems from owning several terimators and my Lightning. When those cars first came out, guys were just changing the blower pillows to a much smaller diameter. Well that started causing severe belt slip, so for increased belt wrap, they started leaving the upper pulley alone, and changed the crank pulley. What happened was the following, changing uppers only to say a 2.81 resulted in 460/470 on a04 cobra car. Leaving the blower pulley alone and changing the crank pulley to say a 8lb lower would result in 440/540. I will find out why the distribution is so different for you guys.

I'm surprised that the 6.3 Weistecs don't make more than these in torque I mean 5.4 is pretty big but not enormous. I mean Exotic's car is making over 700wtq for example which is over 900 crank tq and that's about as much as the Veyron makes (not SS) and that's a quad turbo W16
