Car already has a GIAC tune and Tubi exhaust so I'm good to go!

Welcome to the 911 turbo family! I'm thinking about getting a 996 turbo as well. I had a 996 Carrera and it was kind of uneventful as everything was so easy; handling, speed, ac... so I stuck with the air cooled cars for their rawness. However, in my old age, I think I might like a comfy and easy Porsche to drive again, so I'm thinking Tip 996 turbo. That way the gf could drive it as well. lol She won't touch my 930 because she can't push the clutch in, has a hard time shifting it and has a hard time with the manual steering.

The car is so pristine in and out that I almost don't want to take it out. Also, all the mods were done by a local Porsche dealer, which makes me feel far more comfortable than if the previous owner Frankensteined it.

I had the same problem with my concours 930 turbo and 964 turbo. It really got me paranoid about taking it anywhere so I sold them. The current 930 is fairly streetable with the mods on her and there's some scratches and "patina" on the car so I don't worry about taking her out. Enjoy the turbo as she is a fast car and handles incredibly!

I see you took my advice on Rennlist. It is a good forum for Porsche owners.

The RAREST of all 996 cars. Less than 600 made for North America. With a tune the TURBO cars are wicked quick!

At 51k for the 03 it was overpriced IMO...... hope you got a good deal
My wife really enjoyed the Porsche TURBO S and it was the best handling car I've driven. I must say however for straight line speed get an SL600 with an ecu/tcu
flash and it's lights out.

I was somewhat limited in my search since I needed at least a 2+2. This way, I could still take the car out with the young kiddos. Otherwise, I'd probably be in a Z06 or Viper right now.

I did, but the action is slow there. I'm still on here and PSC more right now. I want to see what happens with this RTR pulley thing.

6speedonline has a lot more 996TT traffic than RL, but they each have unique perspectives and usefulness.

Both 6SO and RL combined see less action than the RTR pulley thread.

I'm on the 6Speed 996TT forum. Feels like about the same number of posts as here.

+1, I got a ride in his car and my jaws dropped, its not even tuned yet.. I wont go into details, but his shiet is straight.

I am in the process of buying a 993TT and will definitely be working with him to make it fast.
