Anyone know about 996TTs?
What do you think of this one:

Figured this with an EC tune would be a blast to drive.

My father has a 996tt with an x50 package along with full bolt ons. Those cars a viscious, and that platforms after market is huge. They would walk circles around a modded e55 with regards to dollar for dollar spent. Now the interior is dated, but for me, I could careless about creature comforts.
Go for it brotha, as far as working on the car and maintenance, it is not nearly as heavy and much easier to wrench on. Basically a street legal race car and are tanks.

Have a 996TT X50 - it's a blast. Not my DD but some guys do.
Tune and exhaust are no-brainer upgrades, and there is a lot of great aftermarket support.
Go on 6speedonline and rennlist and you'll be an expert in no time.

996 Turbo is a mean ride and I am on the hunt for one as well. It will def have a lillte more curb appeal than the E55, but the interiors to me are kinda Primitive, I still want one , prob go for a cab. On a side note maintenance is relatively cheap and performance is fantastic. You will for sure be visiting the track much more than the drag strip and have alot less trouble putting the power down.

Well...I went to go see the red 996 and after looking at the carfax, autocheck, ppi and service history, traded in the E55 for it. This car is an absolute beauty.

Just sold my 996 TURBO S cabriolet 2005 with 15k on the dial for $69,000
The RAREST of all 996 cars. Less than 600 made for North America. With a tune the TURBO cars are wicked quick!
At 51k for the 03 it was overpriced IMO...... hope you got a good deal

Got it for my E55 plus 27K. The car is super clean so I feel good about the purchase.

Love my 04 X50 Cab. It's my DD.
Paid LESS for it than this car in 12/08.
In other words, wildly overpriced. Know you passed, but keep looking. Much fun!
