Folks,

If any of you have a 2004-2006 E55 AMG Rear diff I need it ASAP. Please let me know, Need to get my beast ready for Timmayfest, I have been working to get a Quaife in my current diff and I want to upgrade not just bandage the situation. And by the time I rebuild it will make more sense to just buy the newer style.

Please PM ME and Let me know what you have.

Thanks Much!!

What was the problem with the diff that you had to rebuild? I have replaced seals, vent etc.. and still have gear oil blowing up out of the vent. Fluid level is correct.. I'm hoping its just not an underlying issue.

Went to the track with Slicks, And Tore up the Axle cup that the axle bolts to and then goes into the diff. 03's Had a different Diff than the 04-06's. The early model rear diffs were a 10 bolt ring gear. the 04-06's are a 12 bolt, The axles on the later model diffs also went straight into the diff and didn't bolt to the outside of it. So after tear down and inspection both axle cups were bent. So I'am currently doing a complete conversion to a 04 rear diff, New axles, and adding a Quaife LSD.

The stock MB fluid for some reason has been known to (bubble) and go through the vent, Try using Motul, or Redline That was recommended to me by the helpful folks at Speed Driven as they said its a common issue they see.

Not @ the Benz Dealer any longer and never changed my screen name.. Fourtunately, I work on my own car - with the exception of the fuel pump and tank. Nice crack though.. I laughed.
