how many of you keep your spare?
lots of remote trunk reservoirs around here, and since I have AAA - I'm thinking - why should I keep a heavy tire in the trunk...

sure to remove it would be lighter - but the weight seems to be distributed well for rear-tire action as well

I have that weird space save spare...

who still keeps their spare?

some guys who have the earlier cars would see my spare and say 'hey, you're lucky you got a spare'

I live in Atlanta.

That spare has saved my *** from missing flights not once but twice.

My old C32 didn't have a spare so when my 55 came with one, I was juiced.

I can inflate the spare and have it on and on my way in about 15 minutes now.

Oh...and I've used the air pump to save a damsel in distress as well.

As a result, I lose a ton of luggage space by taking one of my OEM 18s" as a spare when I go on road trips.

BTW - for those of you who don't have a spare...what's in that space (from the factory...not you guys running tanks or subs)? It's a significant sized hole...

Did you ditch yours or did yours just not come with one?

Gotta have one in this town bro.

If you get one, make sure you get the whole package (pump, styro, tools...)...it's pretty sweet.

I bought a stock front rim off of ebay, threw on tire and keep that in the trunk. I have no trunk space at all, but I rarely drive it so I don't GAF.

My car didn't come with a spare, but I would run with it if it came with one. I've only had one time when a tire went flat, and I called the Benz dealer through Roadside Assistance and they brought an E class replacement until I got a tire on my wheel and returned it to the dealer.

Oh, and I still have my owners manuals in the car as well...
