How is your A/C?
when i held down the ac off/rest button a number menu came up but i cant find any info on what it is for or what i cn do with it. any info on this menu?
....
...
And for the last time the 10* fan mod will help the A/C work better. More air over/through the condenser improves heat transfer. The fan is controlled by both engine temp and A/C temp-pressure.
I've been following some threads but thee wasn't anything clear! ... Do you mind telling or pointing a thread to what is required?

But there is an error with the indications.... They say to change to -10, but As I read the screenshot it says the opposite ... A positive will make the fan to start earlier!
PS: In fact I went into the DIY and yes there Is that correction mentioned!

1. i had over charged the system and that caused it to blow warm air.
2. After a evac and refill to the proper weight the air was cool and blew better through both sides.
3. they used a ultraviolet additive like the dyes and we will see in a few days if there are any small leaks. it held pressure for over an hour without any dropping in the readings.
i would now never recharge myself. MB just does stuff different.

My AC blows hot 90+ air for first 2 minutes after car start. Then blows cool air not COLD air. Dealer say its normal.
I have been laugh at for this poor AC performance.
Now, I just have to find a star diagnostic tool.
Are any of you guys in San Jose, Ca area that can help me do the -10 mod ? Or can you suggest a link to purchase a Star Diagnostic C3 tool ?
Thank you guys.

In my experience, the 4 zone AC of my E55 and E500 never blew as cold as the standard 2 zone system in the E320

On cooler days(ambient), it'll freeze you out.. But I don't want to pull the system apart to find out that the hose is fine.
For reference, my black '02 Civic could freeze you in less than 15 seconds after spending 5 hours in a 100* day.
I had it checked on the gauges and it's not leaking.
Any obvious indications that it might be the hose? Where else should I look to?

The hose is not expensive, but you'll need to capture the refrigerant when you change it. I think ECS tuning had the best price when I was looking about a year ago.
I also noticed that sometimes when I manually change AC fan speeds, it gets a little weaker after a couple of days. Then I push the "Auto" button and the AC kind of resets itself.
After having the pars changed and refilled with the correct amount of coolant, it is much better. If I aim my laser thermometer down inside the vent, I can see temps in the low 30s when it is 100 degrizzles outside.
The only problem I am having is with airflow. It just sucks. My mode selector radial switch doesn't do anything, so the flap to close off the feet vents doesn't close. I haven't found anyone else with the same problem, so I don't know what part to replace.
Oh, and even with the improvements with the current maintenance, the system in my 2013 Fusion flat out embarrasses the one in my Benz. Even my old '97 Camry with 175k miles had better a/c.

Also, how difficult to DIY and approx. hours?
I'll add this to my "winter projects" list.

The DIY shouldn't be that difficult on the hose swap itself, but you will need to have the R134 that's in the system evacuated and then have the system filled afterwards. Most of us non-professional mechanics don't have the equipment for that.
