Is my belt too big? Feels like it's slipping

I took off my engine cover and saw that there's some rubber deposits on the underside. looks like it came from the s/c belt. this belt is brand new and was put on when I had my 175mm EC pulley installed. is this belt too big for this pulley? if so, which belt should I use instead?

The K080514 is what I used with my EC 172mm pulley. Seemed to work well.

that belt (51.4 in) is the same belt that is used on the 172mm pulleys so i cant imagine it being to big for yours, if anything it would be a bit on the tight side

For the OP, one thing to consider-- how do you know whether the dust is from the old belt, the new belt, or both?
