Awesome. That would be greatly appreciated. You guys in the gulf coast know how humid it is here.

I can hear the fan blowing like normal and I tried cycling the vents through all of the modes to no avail. I closed off all the vents except for the two for the driver and it's just a small amount of flow.

Oh, and to answer your previous question, mods are: ASP 175, upper pulley, MBH headers, 82mm tb, TTM rail and injectors, heat exchanger, Jerry Blood (good for a proven 10hp gain), EC TCU flash, and then a little something secret.

Also, experiencing an occasional high/hanging idle. I hate sporadic problems.

Ok, when my new motor went in, the wire broke at the compressor. It happens to alot of them, especially when motors are taking in and out. When the motor rocks back on forth during driving, it will weaken the wire and eventually brake it due to it been so tight in the harness [thats what she said]

That is my .02 cents, hopefully it will help.

Deneroll - High / hanging idle will be one of two things, and somewhat common.

Check for vacuum leak
Do Throttle Body Reset

What ever order you want. I had this issue after my last tune, and it fixed the problem. (Been over 4 months)

Let me see if I can find link

Here is some stuff from previous (related) posts:

You might also want to try a throttle body reset. Skratch77 sent me this before for an unrelated issue:

RESET

clear codes (if any)
shut off car
unplug tb plug
turn key to position 2 for 10 seconds
key off position
plug tb back in
key second postion for 20 seconds
off
start car

COMMON VACUUM LEAK

Was the AC working at all while you were terrorizing the streets of Houston or stopped on the 6 hour drive to New Orleans? Should be a simple connection fix, since it was all working before the swap. Call your installer, as he may have a quick solution for you. I know it is damn hot down there !!!

After I left Jerry's I didn't really notice because I had the endorphins flowing from continuously jizzing in my pants. I thought it felt a little weak when I left teds, but was too concerned with driving like Miss Daisy was in the back seat.

Looks like I've got some parking lot wrenching to do later. Thanks for the advice, guys.

Oh, and just so I don't have to bribe Bramage with gumbo, the little secret involves something that is not sprayed or injected.
Actually, I might go buy a sealed Tupperware container full of shrimp gumbo and put it in my trunk today. It's all yours buddy when I get back in October.

I haven't had a chance to look at the car yet. I'm back to 12+ hour workdays. By the time I get "home", change, go eat, and whatever, it's time for shower and bed. The ac thing is strange. Sometimes it blows stronger and the passenger side blows colder than the drivers side now.

I also have to reset the tb, but have to clear the code first. No scan tool with me.

I got Hadi's heads, so I'm not sure who did them. All I know is that he did a helluva job. Larger intake valves and stiffer springs all around.

When I get back to San Diego I will. Probably November. I will definitely be running Qualcomm just to measure my improvements in the 1/8th at a known track. Bramage is working on a 1/4 mile event in November.

I am hoping we get some support out here for a track day. I know Mo (MB Forever)mentioned November, but I have not heard anything firm. Last winter, it fell apart due to lack of interest. Frickin sucks.. all talk on the west coast.

He set up a professional web site, and did all the heavy lifting. When it came down to signup, all we heard was: $100.... whaaaaaa I dont have $100. Welcome to the Honda Civic crowd.

Denroll and I will go at it in the Qualcom parking lot (1/8 mile tree), but that may be it for a while, or until a roll bar becomes something I am willing to put in my car to run test and tune days (Out here, if you run faster than 11.5, you are booted.

Let me know if you are serious about the west coast track day. I can try and call Famoso and see what it takes. I'm in the SF valley and there are no tracks close by that are worth a crap so I'll either do a test and tune there (and hope to get kicked off ) or try and organize a track day...

Famoso is THE track. Brand new surface, great prep, great group of guys running the place.

I am absolutely up for a private rental - Ill speak for Denroll.. he is in too

See what it would take. Our last plan was a small event -50 cars ($200 each), so my guess is the track rental is around $10K

I'm sure Mo can pull some people together. that sucks though. How is the 1/8 track prep? It will give you a great chance to practice launch (not that you need it based on that Badass pic) and to get a good idea of what you will run in the 1/4. A 6.9 should be high tens.

Trust me I know all about the difficulties of putting together a track rentals. Its not as ready as people think. Especially since I don't take the money up front. If 70% of the Pierre that say they are definitely coming actually show up you're lucky. And guess who gets stuck with the bill lol.

Same rules here at test n tune. Should be the same around the country

I was going to say, look at that track prep!
Almost up to Qualcomm parking lot standards. If we practice and get good at the crappy track, we should be rockstars at famoso, right?

Yes- Qualcom is a stadium parking lot. Prep? None. I think once they laid down some prep, but they just are not funded - and I missed that night.

My best 60' at the Q was identical to my PB at Famoso (1.66), however since the track is up hill, times are skewed.

At the time we did Famoso, (only 1/4 I have done to date), my PB was 11.42 with a 7.3 1/8 @ 95.11mph

I did the 1/8 mile many times with that set up, and my best at Qualcom at the time was 7.9 at 94.

Many, many mods later, my current best at Qualcom is 7.3 at 98.9mph. I have no idea how its translates, but bottom line: I expect a new PB if/when I ever get to a real track. Deneroll has no PB because he is a noob.

OH, I did run a full race Vega one night. I did a 7.3 to his 7.2 - He said he runs mid 10's at Fontana, so I think I'm knocking on that door. Paper racing is no fun, so I really hope a track day can get set up. Thanks for letting us party in your thread Denroll.
