These vid's make me want to go and get a race tune so I can just get into 10's and call it a day. Or maybe I can just do it on my pump tune that I've been on forever on a REALLY good day?

Those who are really in the know are aware that the reason I asked, and trusted, Bruce and yourself to drive for me was that I was recovering from a cervical fusion. You are probably just joking around but there has been some backlash from having you drive that day and it's comments like the above which spur them on.
As for the setup: Yes, stock/original converter, trans, tcu, and gears.
No meth, no nitrous.
Looking forward to reading about the next wave of E's crashing the 10 second barrier....and with some luck the 9 second barrier too!
I also wanted to add Tag (tm02) to the list. I believe he was the first non-nitrous E55 to break into the 10's.

I'm happy with where the car is at and how she has performed. My only goal is to run the quickest I can within the realm of the budget I set. I believe there is still a little more left in her but even if that never comes to fruition, I'm completely content.

That was me AMEN in the silver E55 vs DEREKFSU. He ran the 1st 10 et in an E55. That was at South Georgia Motorsports Park in 2005. Wow time flies and my e55 HAS 131,000 miles on it and still will kick ***.

It's good seeing the "OG's" of these cars still on the forum. Back in 2005 I was 19-20 and no chance of me having a E55. Thankfully I do now and can honestly say I have gotten more satisfaction in running 10's in this car than running low 8's years ago and these cars get more attention/respect after people see a 4 door 4400lb Mercedes running in the 10's.

Great assessment bro, I too have to run in dyno mode, otherwise my power gets cut when burning out. I made two passes like that at the track in Columbus, and it was ugly.
You did an amazing job running that 10.59, if you are at MIR in Nov at the track rental, I would not mind letting you pilot my girl. I would like to study my cars reaction, and temperament during takeoff, who knows, maybe she would like another man to ride her into the 10's. She does like to be ridden hard!

I did an un planned run in dyno mode one time, and that was it.. got loose around 100' down the track, and I knew if I let off I was done for, so I just held on and drove.
Back to the discussion... I have been maintaining a set up I am certain is good for 10's, we just don't seem to get any track days scheduled. Hopefully November
