No freakin power!!

Hey guys. So my s/c hasnt been engaging intermittently for about a week now. Finally had a chance to look for the problem. I have NO clue what it could be. I/c pump is working, ohmed out the cluth wires, showed 1.8 ohms and is getting power. When im on Highway speeds and I turn thr car off, to reset the ecu, the s/c engages, stays engaged until I either get off the highway or if I push it hard, it sputters, then it disengages.

So questions for you guys. If my i/c pump, was bad will it do this? I was also thinking about the IAT sensor. Could that cause that?

Anyone ever experienced this?

Do you have anyway to log AIT?

Last time my sc clutch quit on me I disconnect the positive cable on the battery and touch that terminal to the ground and left it disconnect for ten minutes. Everything worked fine after that. This "fix" is courtesy of Bramage.

No, disconnect the positive terminal and use that terminal touch the ground (metal frame). And then leave the positive terminal disconnect from the battery for ten minutes.

So I finally found some time to do what you said. The s/c still wont engage. But now I am getting a, "ESP not available" and "ESP malfunction". Familiar with this? Did yours do it too?
I appreciate you trying to help me. Thanks!

You need to reset the Steering angle sensor after disconnecting the battery. Turn the car on and turn wheel all the way left and hold there for two seconds, then all the way right and hold for two seconds then all the way back left. This should turn that ESP not Available off.

IDK about the SC. Just a heads up, if your one touch window up doesn't work and the one touch sunroof open doesn't you have to reset those as well after disconnecting the battery. Hold the window buttons up for 2 secs each to reset and hold the sunroof button towards close for 2 seconds to reset it. I'm sure you can search and find the answer to these resets but I'm just passing the knowledge on!

Hey, question. That JL sub you have, is it in place of the stock one or is it boxed in the trunk?

How old is the car? It could be worn out. Time to replace/ upgrade.

Its an 03 with 112k miles. Aside from the s/c issue, everything else is good, no other problems. Its in a really good condition for the mileage.

Does the supercharger work in the morning after a cold start? We need to make a stickey on AIT temps.everyone should check these to see if the pump is working.it sounds like your pump is dead

your pump still could be bad... not pumping fluid even though you feel it turn on. The impeller usually falls apart and then no fluid pumps through. you really need to check you intake air temperature with a gauge or just change the intercooler pump to see. good luck

So I got some time to tear the car apart and start checking some wiring. I found the problem. When I boughht the car, the s/c did not work, I did not know it at the time nore did the dealer, or so they say. So long story short, I had found three wires that go to the "recirculating air flap" (butterfly valve under the throttle body) to be burnt and broken. I spliced them and the s/c started working. So today while checking all the wires, I shook the connector to that valve, and noticed itwould go crazy, open and close. So right there i Knew it was that. I removed the connector, looked at the female pins and noticed that some of them were too opened, which was me sticking the lead of the multi meter in there. So I cut that connector off and spliced a new one I had laying around. She is running like a beast!!

I thank all of you for trying to help and helping me troubleshoot the issue. This is what its all about, everyone helping each other.
